Live action shows on a channel dedicated to cartoons? At first it
seems bad, but really, people were way to harsh towards CN Real, for
really no legitmate reason. It set out to accomplish one thing: to
entertain audiences. It wasn't about ratings, it wasn't about money,
it was about entainment, as it has always been.
Another complaint is that CN was just trying to copy the more
successful Nick and Disney.
What people need to realize is copying others, if done right, can and
will bring them success. They would gain a huge audience and
Although a lot of major cable networks do not carry the same clout
Nick and Disney have. These are two of the top cable networks period
veiwership wise. And as said before Disney Channel and Nick have been
around much longer than Cartoon Network and therefore have the
advantage. Besides Cartoon Network never started out as a kids
network, it changed into one. It was trying to become better, more
like its compeition.
All I'm saying is CN Real wasn't as bad as everyone said it was.
Saying something's bad using a blanket statement gets you nowhere and
makes you look like an idiot. This is the kind of thing people need to
hear now more than ever, because when CN Real was on, just about every
major media outlet pretty much mocked Cartoon Network for their new
direction, except the ones Time Warner owns.
No matter which way you look at it, the only reason CN Real faild was
because very few people gave it a chance, simply because it wasn't
animated. What kind of logic is that?
